If you’re unsure which inhaler you use, or if your inhaler is not listed, you can find helpful video guides on the Asthma and Lung UK website (opens in new tab).

Asthma Control Score

The Childhood Asthma Control Test will provide a score that may help your doctor or nurse determine if your child’s asthma treatment plan is working or if it might be time for a change.

Questions 1-4 are to be answered by your child. You may help with reading/understanding the question, but where possible try to let your child select the response. For each question, make sure your child considers all four possible answers before choosing the best one for them.

How is your asthma today?
How much of a problem is your asthma when you run, exercise or play sports?
Do you cough because of your asthma?
Do you wake up during the night because of your asthma?

The remaining three questions are to be completed by a parent/guardian.

There are no right or wrong answers. Please consider all six possible answers before making your choice.
